Night falls very hard
As he endures the cruel, fierce,
Brutal, callous streets.

Seeps into the very depths

Yet, it never does…

Reasons to keep on trying;

Even if the Front
Door is locked, someone can still
Sneak through the Back Door.

The boat is rocking
As the cold waves of life come
Crashing down on him.

I think of precious
Time I poured into thankless
Endeavors and weep.

No matter how hard
They tried to take what was his
They left with nothing.
