She’s running out of
Reasons to keep on trying;
To keep going on…

Even if the Front
Door is locked, someone can still
Sneak through the Back Door.

The boat is rocking
As the cold waves of life come
Crashing down on him.

:Susan-kay: Hanzlik.

I think of precious
Time I poured into thankless
Endeavors and weep.

No matter how hard
They tried to take what was his
They left with nothing.

:Susan-kay: Hanzlik.

I now see clearly
How all those years “existing”
Have left me nothing.

It’s real easy to
Judge a Book by its cover
Yet, should we do that?

Just because she can’t
Keep up with the rising costs
She’s been penalized.

:Susan-kay: Hanzlik.

Where should they all go
When they no longer have a
Place they can call home?

His youth slipped away
So, now he’s yearning for the
Way things used to be…
